Player Level: Beginner
Description: Want to learn the basics of Role Playing Games? This is an ideal
opportunity for beginners. We will play a generic short play sequence which will
cover the basic concepts of all RPGs. We will not be focusing in on one system
(like D&D or Vampire). Instead, we will use just enough to explain how to role
play, what the dice roles can and cannot do, and some of how combat works. This is
intended for players brand new to role playing or those non-gamers that just want
to see what goes on during a game.
Players: At least four players must sign up for this event for it to take place.

Edition of D&D. Now we meet again to discuss if the hype had staying power.
Are RPGs getting new converts? Or just bringing back the old? How is the Third
Edition of D&D after playing it for a year? What problems does the game, and
others like, have to overcome?

go by Airboat to Morune Moruch and back home, touching each branch along the way.
No problem! Things are looking good as you approach the last branch before home,
when the boat is thrown off course and badly damaged. How are you going to get home
in time to win your bet? For that matter, how are you going to get home at all?

Attendees should check their schedules for other program items after 3:00pm. Of
particular note is the Gripe Session on Sunday. This is your chance to meet the
staff for Albacon 2002. You can also share your ideas for improving the convention
for the following year.
Companies and/or Game Masters wishing to return next year should leave contact
information with the gaming staff prior to departing. Even if we contacted you
this year, we like to verify it when we get the chance. This keeps our information
current.
